Violations double in Afrin after year of occupation

The violations and aggressive practices of the Turkish occupation and mercenaries against Afrin people; killing, kidnapping and looting the properties are doubled, and this contradicts the allegations of the Turkish occupation state's president Erdogan to establish safe zones in north-east Syria.

Killing a civilian and throwing his body in the wilderness

A local source from Afrin city stated that the citizen Agid Mohammed Sheikh Hassen who is at 24, married and has two children from Avraz village in Mobata district was killed after being kidnapped for three days.

The source noted that Avraz village's people found his naked body with effects of torture and stabs in his stomach among the olive fields in the village's plain.   

A sources close to the killed confirmed that the citizen Agid had been kidnapped three days ago by the Turkish occupation mercenaries before founding his body among the olive fields.

On the other hand, sources stated to ANHA agency that the citizen Ahmed Sheikh Khalil from Heykejeh village in Shia district has been kidnapped since days, while his family does not know any information about him.

The demographic change continues

The Turkish occupation mercenaries continue settling their families and the displaced from other Syrian areas in the villages of Afrin canton as the mercenaries seized 50 houses of the civilians in Tellef village in Janders district, and settled families from al-Ghouta and other areas in their place.

The mercenaries settled 174 families flocked from the Syrian areas in Qermetleq village in Shia district, seized the fields of 11 families from the village and stole the entire olive crop which is about 7,000 olive trees.

In Kefer Sefreh village in Janders district, the mercenaries settled 150 families from various Syrian places.

Moreover, the occupation army settled 40 migrated families in Demeliya village in Mobata district, knowing that the mercenaries, after occupying the village, burnt the houses of four civilians from the village's population, and they are of Jamil Bakr Musa, Sheikho Ibrahim, Ismael Ibrahim Jamil and Ismael Sheikho.

Al-Zenki mercenaries loot the civilians' houses after defeat

After al-Zenki mercenaries have been defeated in clashes with Hayet Tahrir al-Sham mercenaries in Aleppo western countryside, Idlib and recently in Afrin city, al-Zenki mercenaries continued looting and stealing the civilians' possessions. They raided Kila village in Rajo district, stole the civilians' properties, and seized some of the civilians' houses to hide in.

Civilians have been being kidnapped since 10 months

After the Turkish army and mercenaries occupied Afrin canton, thousands of civilians were abducted, and the kidnapping and killing operations are still ongoing as there are people who have been kidnapped since March, 2018, while their fate is still anonymous.

According to sources and the families of the kidnapped, each of Jwan Youssef, Ibesh Habash Gulle, Khalil Hassen Hassen, Oweil Abdul Rahman Ba'bo, Welat Hassen Tashi and Mohammed Zakariya Tatar from Arba village in Mobata district in addition to Mohammed Kalo and Darwish Darwish from Kefer Zeet that is related to Afrin city's center have been kidnapped since more than three months and their fate is still anonymous despite their families attempted with various methods to search for them.

The Turkish occupation state tries through its threats to occupy the areas of north Syria to turn them into Syrian areas devoid of their identity and indigenous population.

What is happening daily of hostile practices against the people of Afrin, their presence and identity confirms the false allegations of the president of Turkish occupation state Recep Teyyip Erdogan to protect the civilians and their rights in their places. Furthermore, dozens were killed, more than 3 thousand civilians were abducted, and houses, monuments and public facilities were destroyed, not to mention the demographic change in Afrin during a year of occupation.
