The residents of Tal Abyad province started their sit-in in two tents, one in Girê Spî and the other in Silok 7 days ago, to express their rejection of Turkey's threats to occupy areas in northern Syria.

The activities of the seventh day included many speeches delivered by representatives of the political parties who attended to participate in the sit-in.

Kadeem Ibrahim delivered a speech on behalf of the Future Syria Party, in which he spoke about the struggle that the people of the Syrian north fought against the mercenaries, the most dangerous terrorist risk to the world.

Ibrahim pointed to the cohesion and solidarity among the peoples of the region, which was formed thanks to the sacrifices of martyrs. He appealed to the international community to see the facts on the ground and not to overlook them.

Mustafa Aziz, a member of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) sent a message under the sit-in tent in Girê Spî canton to all the enemies of Syria that they would not hesitate to defend their land.

Aziz added, "We have defeated terrorism in the north and east of Syria and we will not fear the Turkish threats against our safe areas. We are the owners of this land and we will withstand any aggression."

Then, Shamsa Sinou delivered a speech on behalf of the Syrian Women's Council and Shwish al-Batahawi delivered a speech in the name of the protesters, stressing the need to rise up against the Turkish occupation and not to create a gap among the components of the region to be prey to the enemy.
