AL-Tabqa clans: We to support SDF, do not care about threats of Turkish state

A number of al-Tabqa elders clans spoke to Hawar agency about Turkish threats against northern and eastern Syria.

Sheikh Mehidi al-Saleh, sheikh of "al-Hawyouwat tribe," said that "Erdogan declares that he wants his military operation" east of the Euphrates, "as he describes to secure his borders forgetting that IS was on his border for several years, strengthen the presence of its elements and the entering of various weapons in the sight of its border guards, we say that this operation is only an occupation of our lands liberated by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF)with the blood of martyrs .

In response to the use of the term "East and West Euphrates" by Turkish President Recap Tayyip Erdogan, the sheikh said: "We are here a Syrian people, one people, rejecting these Ottoman- divisions. Today we are all living together with all our components and nationalities under the roof of the people fraternity and the project of the democratic nation that guarantees our rights and freedoms."

In a related context, during an interview with Sheikh Bashir al-Hamashir, Sheikh of al-Bukhmis clan, he said that as Arab tribes in the region, "we do not care for any of these trivialities emanating from an occupied country like Turkey. Its history witnesses the massacres committed against the Armenians, Kurds and Arabs, the Ottoman occupation over 400 years of arrogance, killing and destruction that Erdogan is trying to bring back but with greater barbarism."

He said We will revolt against the Turkish occupation. We will stand together with Syrian Democratic Forces and we will join the trenches of the resistance. We will not allow any aggressor to occupy our lands.
