international media quoted the French delegate to the United Nations as saying,

"It is important for America to take into account the protection of people in northeastern Syria and the stability of the region, to avoid a new humanitarian crisis and to avoid the return of terrorism."

He added "France will work in the coming weeks to ensure the security of all of Washington's allies in Syria, including SDF."

A spokesman for the French Foreign Ministry announced Thursday that the members of the International Coalition Against Terrorism and France are holding consultations with the United States on the date and conditions of implementation of the decision to withdraw US troops from Syria.

The spokesman said in a news conference, "We and the member states of the international coalition are in negotiations with Washington on the date and conditions of implementation of the US president's decision to withdraw the US forces participating in the war against IS in Syria."

The United States announced yesterday the end of the mission of its forces in Syria and set a timetable for the withdrawal of troops from northern and eastern Syria, which was rejected by many of the coalition countries, and internal opposition in the administration itself.
