Tel Berak residents demonstrated against occupation threats

The residents of Tel Berak today demonstrated in protest against repeated Turkish threats to strike the gains of the people in northern and eastern Syria, stressing their insistence on steadfastness in their lands and standing united against any threat to the security and stability of the region.

Today, hundreds of people from Tel Berak district and members of civil society organizations gathered to protest against Erdogan's remarks, which included launching a military operation on northern and eastern Syria, thus seizing Syrian territorial integrity and increasing his ambitions to occupy a wider area of Syrian territory.

The demonstration, which was launched in front of the western entrance to Tel Barak, toured the main street, to stop in the Martyrs Square in the center of the district, where the demonstrators chanted slogans denouncing the Turkish occupation of Syrian territory, and the lack of respect for the sovereignty and unity of the Syrian state.

After the demonstration stopped in Martyrs Square in the center of the district, the co-chair of  Tel Hamees Mutlaq al-Hossar delivered  a speech in which he stressed the importance of the unity of the Syrian territories. He said: "Every Syrian must confront the new Ottoman occupation that violated the sanctity of the Syrian territories and rebuilding the Ottoman Empire ".

Latifa al-Hajji, a member of Kongra Star in Tel Barak, said that Turkey is a threat to the world , "It embraces terrorism in all its forms. It is the original supporter of the agent(IS). They are a terrorist organization. They are trying to prolong the life of the Syrian crisis and prolong the presence of IS mercenaries, in Syria".

The demonstration ended with slogans salted the resistance of the free people and condemning the Turkish threats to launch a military operation in northern and eastern Syria.
