Al-Karama people revolted against Turkish threats

The reactions continue by the people of northern and eastern Syria who reject the Turkish occupation. In this context, hundreds of people demonstrated on Wednesday in al-Karama area of al-Raqqa countryside.

The notables and elders of al-Raqqa area, the co-chair of al-Raqqa Civil Council Mushlab al-Darwish and hundreds of residents of the area participated in the demonstration which was launched from al-Salama Square in the center of al-Karama city.

The co-chair of al-Raqqa Civil Council Mushlab Darwish said, "Through our demonstration, we say no to the tyrannical threats of Erdogan who wants to bring back to us the injustice of the Ottomans and the mercenaries that have come to an end. As one people and one spirit, we will resist anyone who would try to occupy the Syrian north territories. The Syrian people must revolt against the Turkish occupation."

The administrator of Women Administration in al-Raqqa eastern countryside Sawsen al-Khalaf said in a statement, "We, as women of al-Raqqa, will not stand idly by, and we will fight against any occupier who wants to impose their authority on the Syrian people. The women in al-Raqqa and other areas have will and strength, and we will defend our rights."

The demonstration ended with chanting the slogans that denounce and reject the Turkish occupation.
