Erdogan follows Ottoman policy, aims to exterminate indigenous peoples

Erdogan and the Turkish officials are constantly threatening to launch attacks on the areas of North and East Syria that are adjacent to Bakur Kurdistan on the pretext that the people of the region pose a threat to their national security. To condemn these threats, the people of northern and eastern Syria express their annoyance and condemnation on a daily basis, asserting that they did not attack anyone and that if anyone attacks them, they will defend their existence and their land.

The people of the Yazidi component confirmed in interviews with Hawar news agency that Turkey is targeting the indigenous peoples of the region and that the current policies of Turkey are an extension of the policies of the Ottoman Empire that were established on the bodies of indigenous peoples in the Middle East.

The citizen Barzan Selou noted that the threats of the Turkish state to launch an attack on northern and eastern areas of Syria are not new.

He added, "The Turkish state financed and supported the terrorist organization of IS from the beginning of the Syrian revolution to this day with the aim of occupying northern and eastern regions of Syria in application of Turkey's agendas." He also pointed out that the people of the region united and repelled all the attacks launched by the mercenaries.

Barzan appealed to all the components of the region ; the Kurds, Arabs, Syriacs, Turkmens and Yezidis to unite and not to be dragged behind Erdogan's claims, who tries to create strives among the components of the region, and to support the Syrian Democratic Forces because they protected and will protect the region from the abomination of terrorism.

The Yazidi citizen Newroz Shaqo explained that the threats of Erdogan to launch an attack on the northern and eastern regions of Syria are an extension of the policy of the Ottoman state which aims at eradicating the indigenous peoples in the region. History witnessed this as the massacres of the Armenians, Syriacs, Kurds and Yezidis in Bakur Kurdistan and Turkey.

She asserted that the people on this part of the land have not abandoned a single meter of the land of the homeland. They have not left their land despite the battles. Now, they will not leave the land of Rojava and the northern and eastern parts of Syria to the Turkish occupation because they are that people who are eager for freedom and clinging to their land."

The occupation army of Turkey attacked on 20 January of this year Afrin canton with all types of heavy weapons in order to occupy it. A heroic resistance lasted for 58 days by the People and Women Protection Units (YPG and YPJ). After the occupation of the canton by the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries, they practiced all methods of repression and genocide against the people. The Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has declared an aggression on the northern and eastern region of Syria several days ago, a policy that is an extension of its occupying policy within the Syrian territory after the occupation of Jarabulus, al-Bab, Azaz, and recently Afrin.
