The "Kurdish-Japanese Friendship" Association visits PYD in Europe

The delegation was headed by Kenushita Akinobu, and was received by the head of the Democratic Union Party(PYD) in Europe, Abdel Salam Mustafa.

The two sides discussed the situation in Rojava and northern Syria in general. Mustafa explained the violations of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries against the people of Afrin including the looting and arbitrary arrests that affect the canton’s civilians.

The discussion also dealt with the situation of Afrin residents residing at the camps and the difficulties they face in their daily lives, while Akinobu stressed "the readiness of the association to provide humanitarian assistance to the Kurdish people in all possible ways."

The president of the Association of Friendship of Kurdistan-Japan praised the friendship between the Japanese and Kurdish peoples, pointing out the necessity of continuing this friendship and means of developing relations between the two peoples.

Mustafa thanked the president of the Kurdistan-Japan Friendship Association for the "generous gesture" of this visit, expressing the party's readiness to develop this initiative and move forward to cooperate and exchange visits.
