After reading the report prepared by Rojava Center for Strategic Studies on the Turkish violations and ways of ethnic and demographic change in the area, some live testimonies from Afrin gave testimonies of what the people of Afrin have suffered from under the Turkish aggression.

The witnesses said that the terrorist Turkish state attacked Afrin with all kinds of sophisticated weapons and before the eyes of the international community that remained silent about the killing and destruction of Afrin.

The witnesses pointed out that the Turkish occupation was bombing all the areas without distinction between children or women or military forces, where one of the witnesses noted that during his departure from Janders, the Turkish occupation aircrafts had targeted them and resulted in martyring his brother and a number of his family's members had been injured and rushed to Avrin Hospital which was targeted as well.

The witnesses hoped that the Turkish state would be held accountable for its actions and the regional states have to carry out their duty against this ethnic cleansing which is based on hatred.

The witnesses pointed out that a large number of children were martyred during the Turkish bombardment on Afrin and its villages during 58 days of resistance by the people. They noted that the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries are taking the Kurds out of their homes and distributing them to their mercenaries in an effort to change the demography of Afrin. The Kurdish language has been also prevented, where the education was limited to Turkish and Arabic.

The eyewitnesses made clear, "The Turkish occupation and its mercenaries are capturing the families of Afrin, torturing them and demanding ransom from their families, and the international community is silent about these violations," they added, "Erdogan's goal is to change the geography of Afrin and drive the Kurdish population out of it."

The witnesses said that during the Turkish aggression, they feared the recurrence of Şengal tragedy in Afrin, so they forcibly left their cities, where the Turkish occupation took over all their properties. One of the students said, "I was in the fifth grade and my school was bombed. We had a house and it was destroyed, and we displaced from Afrin and our properties were seized."

One of the Yazidi women, Aisha of Qabara village, said, "The mercenaries of the Turkish occupation came and looted our village, burned our shrines and holy sites that belong to the Yazidis, cut down the trees and exported the goods of our city to Turkey. They are stealing us through a ransom demand. Today we are subjected to a great injustice."
