15 Women in Kandiraya prison are on hunger strike to lift Ocalan's isolation

The co-chair of the Democratic Society Congress and the Democratic People's Party (HDP) parliamentarian in Colemêrg, Leyla Guven, continued her hunger strike to lift the isolation on the Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan, which entered its 24th day.

While the co-chair of the Society Democratic Party, Sebahat Tuncel  with 14 detainees began a hunger strike for 10 days in Kandiraya Koceliyê prison.

Sebahat Tuncel  sent a message on behalf of all the women participating in the hunger strike and said, "the demands of Leyla Guven are not her demands alone, but the demands of millions of Kurds and their friends.

"Therefore, for the sake of peace, democracy and freedom for our people, the determination of the freedom of the leader Abdullah Ocalan must be historic, so we must end the isolation of the leader in accordance with the security and health conditions. This is why 15 women were killed in Kandiraya prison about 10 days ago.

We appeal to all Kurdish people and military forces to be the owners of these demands and ignite the struggle of freedom."
