Kurdish politicians: Evading Kurdistan National Conference legitimizes Turkish occupation

The issue of the Kurdistan National Conference which has been being called for by political parties since decades coincided with the silence of other parties' views again amid the great challenges that face the Kurds in West Kurdistan and threaten the gains and values ​​achieved by the people during the years of revolution.

Hawar news agency interviewed Kurdish politicians, and each side narrated the reasons for not holding the Kurdistan National Conference, the ways to hold the conference which would serve the Kurdish Cause much more and the Kurds would have a position in the international forums.

The commander of the Unity Party, Musa Keno, pointed out that the Kurdish parties have not benefited from the lesson in Afrin yet saying, "Indeed, every Kurdish party had to arrange its calculations after the Turkish occupation of Afrin. The time is suitable for holding the Kurdistan National Conference. We have to get the Kurds away from this vortex."

Keno continued his speech, "Till this moment, we have been suffering from the external agendas that interfere into our affairs so there is a big rift among the Kurds. Each party has to concede at some matters, even if it would be hurtful, and abandons those agendas. For example, the Kurdish National Council sees the governments according to its desire, as well as the other parties and this is not permissible. Even the countries are surprised of that, and invite us to unite."

Many observers of the Kurdish affair consider that the Kurds have been facing a big problem since decades and this lies in the lack of the unity of the Kurdish rank which therefore the occupying regimes of Kurdistan benefit from, leaving the way open to them to spread seditions among the Kurds.

In the same context, the member of the central committee of the Syrian Kurdish Democratic Party Gulistan Atti considered that those who evade the Kurdistan National Conference themselves legitimize the Turkish occupation of Afrin and other areas in Kurdistan.

Gulistan Atti added, "There are still some parties, especially in South Kurdistan, who are not the decision-makers. How can those put a right path for the Kurds at this historic stage? We as Kurdish people face a fateful stage and the enemy does not differentiate between this party or that. Every Kurdish individual is the target. Everyone must realize this and act accordingly. Let the parties come and offer their views in the Conference and let us agree on a mechanism of action."
