Perpetrator of 3 murders arrested in Kobanî

The Office of Combating Organized Crime of the Internal Security Forces in Kobanî city managed to arrest a criminal who committed three murders and the theft of their property.

According to the Office for Combating Organized Crime, the arrest was carried out following careful follow-up and monitoring by the members of the Office for Combating Organized Crime. Intensive investigations resulted in access to the criminal, whose investigations later proved that he had committed murder and robbery of the property of the victims.

The Office noted that the operation began when an unidentified person was found dead in Kobanî countryside. The members of the Office for Combating Organized Crime subsequently began an immediate investigation into the details of the crime. A few days later, investigations conducted by the office in coordination with the Commission of Inquiry and Prosecution resulted in the arrest of a person suspected of having committed the crime. After investigating the suspect, he confessed to committing two murders at earlier times.

The office explained that, based on his confessions, he had committed three murders, the first of which was committed some five years ago, and another crime committed about a year ago, in addition to the crime committed earlier.

To be arrested on October 10, 2018 and be referred to the investigation where he admitted crimes he had committed.

The Office of Combating Organized Crime said that in the past few days a similar investigation by the office had been carried out and resulted in the arrest of a criminal group of five persons known for murder and robbery in Kobanî, which was considered one of the most important and complex operations.
