European Court condemns Turkey for arresting Demîrtaş

The European Court of Human Rights has condemned the Turkish state for arresting of the former co-chair of the Democratic Peoples Party, Salahaddin Demîrtaş, demanding it to accelerate the prosecution of the detainees in prisons.

The European Court of Human Rights has condemned Turkey for arresting of the former co-chair of the Democratic People Party Salahaddin Demîrtaş.

The European Court of Human Rights ruled on Tuesday that Turkey had violated the right of a speedy trial of the Kurdish politician Salahaddin Demîrtaş

Salahaddin Demîrtaş was sentenced in September to more than four years in prison on charges of terrorism after spending almost two years in prison during his trial.
