The Democratic Society Academy opens a new course

The course, which was called " Defeating Terror Martyrs", began on Thursday in Al-Kubar village in rural Deir Al-Zour and will last for 29 days. The participants will receive courses on "the importance of training, terminology, capitalism, the history of Syria and the democratic nation, criticism and self-criticism, and other lessons aimed at developing personality."

"Our aim from these courses is to develop the individual who is the basis of building the society, and training will play an active role in the development of the members of the institutions in the region, so that they can perform their tasks better," said Khulood Al-Hamoud, director of the academy.

"I came from the town of Sor to join this course. My goal is to develop myself and to get to know the reality of society, especially the foundations of the democratic nation and the freedom of women, and we will spread the thinking and the foundations that we learn during the course in our regions," Said Fida Hussein one of the trainees.

"We joined the academy to change the authoritarian mindset that lasted 50 years and teach the brotherhood of peoples and common life," said Bashir Bashir, a member of the Deir ez-Zor Civil Council.

It is worth mentioning that the Academy of the Democratic Society was opened in June 25 of this year, the first academy to open in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor after liberation from mercenaries, as two trainees joining two courses have graduated till now: Martyr Ahmed Al-Jafal and martyr Saif courses.
