Deir ez-Zor confirmed supporting for Tal Abyad, Kobanî in face of Turkish occupier

Today, hundreds of people from the western countryside of Deir ez-Zor and the local councils (commune), civil and administrators in Deir ez-Zor Civil Council, the Women's Center in Deir ez-Zor gathered at a protest in al-Jazra town and al-Kasra town to show their rejection of the Turkish aggression against civilians in the north of Syria.

The protesters chanted slogans confirming their stand in one rank with the people of Kobanî and Tal Abyad and with the military forces defending the north of Syria against this Turkish occupation.

And a statement was read on behalf of the communes and local councils by Jassem al-Tabash in al-Jazra town, the statement included:

"The continued support of the Erdogan fascism was evident by targeting the cities of the north of Syria and by escalating the aggressive attacks on our lands in Tal Abyad and Kobanî, which targeted even children and journalists.

Today, in our revolution, we confirm that we are one body, a few months ago, before the desecration of the olive lands in Afrin, our blood was mixed with those lands where Salem Salem al-Khalif was martyred by the bombing of the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries as well for the humanitarian convoy that went to support our people in Afrin. In this revolution we affirm our solidarity with our brothers in north of Syria and victory and steadfastness for our people and shame and disgrace to Erdogan and his aides.

For its part, Democratic Civil Administration in Deir ez-Zor made a statement about the Turkish attacks on the northern areas of Syria, in front of the center of Deir ez-Zor Civil Council, and was read by the co-chair of the Legislative Council, Marwan Fetih who said:

The Turkish State's practices continue to be hostile to the peoples of the area in order to achieve its despicable objectives and to restore its imperial Ottoman Empire, which has been afflicted by the peoples and exercised all kinds of crimes. As SDF approach to end of the terrorist organizations that humanity has known and besieged it in its last position, the Turkish state intervenes to save it.

And by attacking with the various weapons on the areas of Kobanî, Tal Abyad and Manbij, and waving a military operation under the pretext of flimsy pretexts, such as those invoked during the occupation of Afrin, to hide the expansionist ambitions in Syria and Iraq as to maintain their security and fight terrorism, and try to annex areas that they consider to be in the inheritance Ottoman.

The continuation of such attacks against the peoples of the region in general is for the restoration of their Ottoman rule and we in the Democratic Civil Administration in Deir ez-Zor affirm that we stand together with our siblings in the face of Turkish ambitions. We call on international organizations and world powers to put an end to Erdogan's ambitions.
