Elders, sheikhs of al-Raqqa denounced al-Huwaidi's assassination

This came in a statement issued by the elders and sheikhs of al-Raqqa city on the background of the assassination of Sheikh Bashir Faisal al-Huwaidi, where sheikhs and elders gathered in al-Raqqa city in front of al-Raqqa Civil Council to make the statement.

The statement was read by Sheikh Ayed Barakat al-Hadi, Sheikh of al-Mousa Al-Zaher clan, who said:

"First of all, we solace ourselves and all the Syrian people on the death of Sheikh Bashir Faisal al-Huwaidi, one of the most prominent sheikh of al-Afadela clan, where he was assassinated by the dirty hands that used to shed the blood of the Syrian people.

He was the best support for the Syrian Democratic Forces, to liberate al-Raqqa and its countryside from the abomination of black darkness to the forces of evil, |IS " thus, those forces exploited the recent Turkish moves and the threats of the regime and its allies to destabilize the north and east of Syria and the democratic project to build a democratic Syria, forgetting that the Syrian people in general and the people in al-Raqqa in particular have sufficient awareness and insight to distinguish the right from falsehood.

We, as elders and sheikhs of the tribes in al-Raqqa and its villages, reject these accusations and allegations that try to distort the image of the city with all its institutions, and what is promoted by other media is far from the truth and the customs and ethics of our tribes in al-Raqqa. It is one of the special war plans to undermine our will.

We call on everyone to exercise restraint and not to be dragged behind those black rooms and people associated with foreign agendas whose concern is to harm the Syrian people and their democratic gains.

Mercy to the martyr Bashir al-Huwaidi and to all Syrian people martyrs , we pledge the God , the people and the blood of the martyr to walk to complete building democratic Syria.
