Two Mercenaries: Turkey gateway to join ISIS

Argun Orhan surrendered himself to the People's Protection Units after escaping from IS mercenaries, while the People's Protection Units arrested Dieg Richard.

Istanbul - Deloc – Jarablus, al-Rai or Idlib, are the areas where the mercenaries cross into Syria to join ISIS or extremist and terrorist gangs. This is one of the easiest ways to join ISIS in Syria or Iraq.

The mercenary Argun Orhan

Argun is descended from the Turkish city of Sparta, but was born in Germany and he has recognized ISIS in Germany. Orhan, like thousands of mercenaries, joined ISIS across Turkish territory. Orhan has worked since his youth in insurance work and painting, and has German and Turkish nationality.

Orhan has recognized ISIS through video recordings that were published on the media and social networking sites. Orhan said that one recording urged that every Muslim should help other Muslims and indicated that he had decided to join.

In this regard, Orhan said, "In the videos they used to say that the Assad regime is practicing injustice against Muslims, so I decided to travel and join ISIS. Before me there was a friend who came to Syria and joined ISIS. He used to publish videos and I watched them. these videos showed Muslims are helping the people, and decided to extract a passport, and travel to Syria to join ISIS. "

I joined ISIS through Turkey ...

"I stayed in Antalya for three to four days, and then I went to the city of Gaziantep (Diluk). The first time I saw the city, I had relations with someone named Abu Jihad al-Tonsi," Orhan said. "He told me to go to a hotel, and that someone would come to take me from there, and then I entered Jarablus, the Syrian city, which was occupied by ISIS, through Gaziantep city."

Working as a prisoner

Orhan said that after crossing to Jarablus, the mercenaries separated his wife from him and took his passport from him. "Then they sent me immediately to their training, we received military training, after training they sent me to the military administration. "I was there, I was assigned to work in the police department of ISIS, and I worked as a prisoner in a prison. I used to imprison anyone who escaped from the ranks of ISIS and whoever did not perform his duty."

Internal executions within the ranks of ISIS

Orhan pointed out that ISIS was carrying out executions against its mercenaries, that they would cut the heads of many mercenaries from their bodies. "They also threatened the families of their mercenaries who did not comply with their orders."

Orhan pointed out that when a mercenary from the ranks of ISIS escaped and was arrested, he was immediately executed. "Because I was working in the military police, I witnessed these executions, I can say that ISIS has nothing to do with Islam."

Orhan said that he fled the ranks of ISIS, and handed himself to the People's Protection Units, and pointed out that the units did not abuse him, and said, "I want to go back to Germany if you can."

German mercenary Deig Richard

Deig Richard of Stuttgart, Germany, is 36 years old and graduated from the Prosthetic Limbs Department.

Richard recognizes Islam in his workplace where he said he was working in a bar when he was 28 years old and there he knew a Bosnian man who used to go to the bar, which was the reason for him to convert to Islam. Richard said: "He talked to me about Islam and brought me books that speak about the Islamic religion in addition to some CDs on the subject itself, then Richard went with him to the mosque.

From the bar to the ranks of ISIS!

Richard said he knew about Islam at the bar and later joined the ranks of ISIS. "There were works to collect aid for Muslim mosques in Germany and I was in. I attended a lot of meetings and lectures," he said, "some people in Germany gathered people and sent them to jihad, with the help of some people and with the influence of the media, I came to Syria to join ISIS "When I came from Germany and entered Turkey, I found no difficulty."

The only way to ISIS is Ataturk Airport in Istanbul

It is clear from Richard's confessions that thousands of mercenaries entering Syria through Turkey do not face any obstacles. "When I arrived at the airport, the fear filled my heart, and suddenly someone came carrying my bag and took me to a car that we went to." I was moving freely and easily in Turkey, even though they knew who we were and where we were going, and even though they know our destination, they did not object to our route, perhaps because they knew they did not obstruct our movements and did not ask us anything. "

"We gathered in Kilis and entered Syria without any military intervention by Turkey, and all the roads were open for us to cross, and in 2015 I crossed the border and went to al-Raqqa and worked in al-Raqqa Hospital, I was manufacturing prosthetic limbs for the elements of ISIS. 

Richard remained in the ranks of ISIS for more than two years and participated in the activities of mercenaries and worked in the hospital. He had been arrested by special units of the Syrian Democratic Forces in al-Jazeera Tempest campaign with a number of mercenaries when they were heading to al-Maiaden area of Deir ez-Zor.

Confessions of the mercenaries show that Turkey is the mercenaries' crossing to Syria and it shows that mercenaries can easily organize themselves in countries such as Germany and that ISIS did not face any difficulties when it built its global network.
