Activating 9 pumps to secure drinking water in al-Raqqa's rural

The Water Committee of al-Raqqa Civil Council has activated 9 chlorine pumps, sterilizing drinking water and pumping it to al-Raqqa city and its rural, at the rate of 9 thousand m 3 per hour, while work to reactivate al-Heshim well pump in the western countryside.

The Water Committee of AL-Raqqa Civil Council managed to secure 9 chlorine pumps for sterilization of water and began to operate it to add to 3 other existing incineration. The pumps sterilize the water from germs and pollution, and consume 63 liters of chlorine within an hour for all pumps, and pumping stations on a daily basis at the rate of 9 thousand m 2 to the eastern and western countryside, including 3,000 for the east and west and 6,000 for the city.

The administrator of the Water Department in al-Raqqa Civil Council Abdo Abdul Qader said in this regard: "We worked on the drilling of nine pumps, which in turn sterilizes drinking water, after it had been working 3 pumps, which did not meet the need of the city and its countryside, and the working pumps 24 hours a day without interruption to secure good and clean water for the people ".

Abdul Qader stressed that they are in the process of re-activating al-Heshim well pump in the western countryside, which feeds 60% of the western countryside.
