Al-Kabash Center receives daily 400 tons of cotton crop

The deliveries began on 25 September 2017 and have so far received around 2,000 tons of cotton at a rate of 400 tons per day.

The center set the price of cotton for this year at 290 SP per kilo by grades, the quality and cleanliness of cotton impurities to reach up to 255 SP per kilo, and the material amounts will be paid to the farmers in a period not exceeding 25 days.

It should be noted that the cotton center of al-Kabesh is the only one ready to receive cotton with the presence of other cotton welders, but is not currently valid because of damage, but work is underway to equip these centers and this center is also ready to receive cotton from the areas of Deir ez-Zor and the areas of al-Tabqa and others.

The opening of the center provided jobs for more than 200 local workers and residents

Fatihi Hasan, director of al-Kabash cotton center, said: "Despite the existence of large areas planted with cotton, infected by worm, and in fear of the occurrence of mistakes, we have developed an agricultural plan for the next year, in addition to the preparation of a prevention team composed of engineers and specialists, and the activation of guidance units in five rural lines surrounding al-Raqqa city and its villages, which aim to guide and educate the farmers to a good agriculture for the coming years. "
