Turkish army targeted school west of Tel Abyad

The Turkish soldiers who are stationed in the border points in the opposite of the village that is located in the western side of Tel Abyad city targeted the school on the first day of its opening.

Berkin Othman, one of the teachers of the school who was present when the school was shot with bullets said that they opened the school’s doors on Wednesday, September 19, and while they were cleaning it, they were shot.

Berkin Othman mentioned that the Turkish occupation army targeted the school last year too in order to prevent the students from learning. Berkin Othman said that the target with bullets coincided with the opening of the school aiming at obstructing the educational process.

Berkin Othman assured that they will not stop teaching the students and will not close their schools. She also called for the international and human rights’ organizations to put an end to the Turkish state’s practices.

While Avin Mohammed who is one of the village’s women said that the Turkish occupation tries to frighten the students, but they encouraging their children to learn.

Avin did not hide her fear of the Turkish violations as she demanded the organizations to cease the Turkish practices.
