Discussing Women Law of North Syria

The female organizations in North Syria discussed the Women’s Law of North Syria that was prepared by the Women's Justice Council to ensure women's rights and their fundamental freedoms and actual equality with men to build a free, democratic and ecological society.

The Women's Justice Council in North Syria prepared the Women’s Law project in North Syria which is consisted of 36 articles, including basic principles and general provisions, marriage, differentiation, the effects of differentiation and crimes of the family.

The Women's Justice Council presented the law to women's institutions and organizations in North Syria such as Kongra Star, the Joint Governance, the Women of Lawyers’ Union and the Women of canton’s councils.

On Thursday and in order to discuss the Women’s Law project, the mentioned organizations and institutions held a meeting at the center of the Court of Justice’s Council Qamişlo city.

Where the laws were read and discussed separately during the meeting. After modifying the law appropriately and preparing it in the final form, it will be sent to the Legislative Council in al-Jazeera region to be delivered to the Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA) of North and East Syria.
