Large-scale operation against Turkish occupation cells, IS mercenaries in Kobanî

The People's and Women's Protection Units and the Internal Security Forces carried out a large-scale operation against dormant cells of the Turkish occupation and IS mercenaries, resulting in the arrest of a number of cell elements and the seizure of large quantities of explosives, weapons and ammunition.

The Media Center of the People's Protection Units has issued on Thursday a written statement in which it revealed a large operation against the dormant cells of the Turkish occupation and IS mercenaries, began on Wednesday,19 September.

The text of the statement:

"In Shikhler district west of Kobanî, on 19 September, the People's and Women's Protection Units and the Asayish forces carried out a joint campaign against the dormant cells of the Turkish occupation state and a terrorists of Daesh. The campaign thwarted their plans.

The mercenaries and terrorists of the Turkish state who are trying to destabilize the stability of North Syria and Rojava in order to conduct terrorist activities in the area in an organized manner. To this aim, there are many groups consisting of Turkish state mercenaries and Daesh terrorists hiding among civilians. In Kobanî, these gangs associated with Turkish intelligence and Daesh terrorists they became under the control of the security forces, and their plans were thwarted by a joint campaign between our forces in the People's and Women's Protection Units and the Asayish forces.

On 19 September, and in the villages of Kouba and Wajda affiliated to Shekhler district of Kobanî. At the same time, units of the Asayish forces and the Special Forces of Asayish (HAT) carried out a campaign against the mercenaries of the Turkish state and IS terrorist, as a result of this process dozens of mercenaries were arrested and a large quantity of explosive devices equipped to carry out terrorist operations were found: two B-7 rocket launchers, 10 missiles, 11 AK-47 rifles, 2 night-vision sights, 4 day-vision binoculars and 14 mobile phones, 4 radios, 9 pistols, bullets and other military tools and military missions ".
