The third conference of TEV-DEM was held in August 27, and a number of resolutions were adopted during the conference, including the Movement's determination to transform the structure of TEV-DEM into a framework and umbrella for civil society organizations which kept the political parties out of the Movement.

The parties that used to work under the umbrella of the Movement as a political committee of the Movement are the Democratic Union Party (PYD), the Kurdistan Liberal Union, the Kurdistan Democratic Peace Party, the Kurdistan National Rally Party and the Syria-Kurdistan Democratic Party.

The five parties held a meeting closed to the media on Sunday to discuss the working mechanism of these parties. A special source from the meeting said that the five parties agreed to continue the political work jointly and to communicate with the other political parties in this sensitive stage to take their responsibilities towards all the components of North-East Syria, especially at the Syrian level in general.
