Idlib .. victim of Russian-Turkish agreements

The Director of the Media  Office of the Future Syria Party and member of its General Council Iyad Khatib said that the regional countries did not agree on a specific formula for Idlib, and noted that Turkey is not seeking to end Jabhat al-Nasra, but seeks to merge it in the conflict it with the other factions as described, Khatib said that Russia descended morally after the recent assistance of facilities to occupy Afrin.

Ayad Khatib said in his answer to the questions of ANHA agency during a  meeting on the recent events in Idlib "The reality of what is happening in Idlib is the final result of a long series of international and regional plans which made Idlib an exile for all those who rejected reconciliation with al-Assad regime and still sticks to the military solution," while the current situation of Idlib was described as a colony of al-Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood supported by Turkey and Iran.

Turkey wants to distribute the elements of "Jabhat al-Nasra"

In regard to the expected scenario of Idlib in light of regional and international interference in Syrian affairs in general, and in particular Idlib, Khatib said that the regional powers had not agreed on a specific formula regarding Idlib so far. He added that the Russians were seeking to restore Idlib to the Syrian regime without colliding with Turkey's interests of excessive force that would result in an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe.

He said that Turkey is trying to include Idlib to the areas of direct influence, as in Jrablos and al-Bab without resorting to the loss of its largest ally in Idlib (Haiet Tehrir al-Sham "al-Nasra earlier"), seeking to dissolve with other armed factions in Idlib, Muslims as described.

Khatib noted that the future of Idlib will be the battle of demarcation of new borders in Idlib from the plain of the jungle and the destination of Jisr al-Shughour because the Syrian regime seeks to control these areas, which it  considers a backyard for its popular embrace in the western villages of Hama and Latakia.

Jabhat al-Nasra is an excuse to use excessive force in the rebellious areas

On the role of Jabhat al-Nasra  which controls the vital joints in Idlib which is the pretext of Russia to attack Idlib, Khatib stressed that Turkey is not seeking to solute Jabhat al-Nasra, but seeks to merge and match with the other factions and it is no secret to one of Turkey's use of the elements of Jabhat al-Nasra in the occupation of Afrin, pointing out that Turkey coordinated with Jabhat al-Nasra for the deployment of control points in that region.

Iyad Khatib is considered one of the personalities who was displaced from her hometown of Ariha, south of Idlib, as a result of attacking Idlib in 2014. He started working in the media with the beginning of the Syrian revolution in March 2011. He founded several media offices in Aleppo and Jabal al-Zawiya.

He says that many people are aware of the negative role played by Jabhat al-Nasra since the beginning of the revolutionary movement in Syria.

Iranian messages to both Russia and Turkey via Idlib

Khatib spoke about the Russian-Turkish agreement, which was one of the consequences of the occupation of Afrin, saying that "Russia is seeking in the recent period to make gains through good relations with Turkey, where Russia provided great facilities for Turkey, including the occupation of Afrin," noting that the Russians aim through coordination with Turkey In the deployment of control points is the control of the international highway between Aleppo and the capital Damascus, pointing out that the Turkish-Russian understandings are still in force "and its evidence overlooks the recent large-scale abuses by Turkey in Afrin to change its demographics and the theft of property and kidnapping and murder."

The bombing of areas close to the Turkish checkpoints in Idlib and its countryside are Iranian messages to both Russia and Turkey that Iran is present on the ground and no agreement will be reached without coordination with it. He pointed out that Iran is trying to pass some of its interests in the region by manipulating the Turkish-Russian understanding .

IS cells are present in Idlib under the auspices of Turkey

Khatib did not rule out the scenarios related to the fate of the mercenaries present in Idlib and considered them under study regarding the transfer of mercenaries from the Turkish occupation of Idlib to the occupied areas in the northern countryside of Aleppo such as Afrin and Jrablos and al-Bab. He said that Russia and Turkey can facilitate the arrival of mercenaries in the northern countryside in order to fight the democratic federal project in northern Syria, everything comes from Russia, who abandoned their morals in exchange for their interests with Turkey.

He added "There are cells of IS  mercenaries presence in Idlib, but under the supervision and care of the Turkish intelligence services that exploit them to ensure balance and to intimidate anyone who opposes its presence there and has already used them in its battles to occupy Afrin and that the transport operations need Russian complicity to be done. "

The goal of the regime is not to liberate the region from terrorism

Khatib said that the Turkish intelligence services seek to undermine the chances of reconciliation by arresting the figures promoted by Jabhat al-Nasara, "which is considered the striking hand of the Turkish intelligence services."

Khatib noted that "the chances of holding reconciliation between the regime and the people in Idlib are almost nonexistent, unlike other areas that held reconciliation because most Idlib people are wanted by the Syrian intelligence services or are required to serve compulsory."

As for the effects of military operations on the political situation associated with the liberation of Afrin, Khatib said that "in front of complex political calculations in the region for all parties. The Syrian regime, which turns a blind eye to Turkey's occupation of Afrin and other areas and handing them over to terrorist elements is certainly not the goal of liberating the region from terrorism."

Claims of separation and paralysis Turkish management

Khatib talked about the inability of Turkey to manage the areas under its occupation in the north of Syria even before the recent financial crisis as a result of its differences with the United States on the pretext that Turkey "using elements involved in terrorist operations and corrupt elements as mercenaries working for the Government of Ankara and not working for the construction and restoration of stability to these areas and is known to be one of the acts of looting, killing and bombing in these areas. "

Fears of massacres against civilians

Khatib said at the end of his meeting with ANHA agency about his "serious" fears about the fate of civilians in Idlib, which has become very large for fear that mercenaries will use them as human shields and hide in their homes In addition to the fear of exploiting their difficult living conditions and put pressure on them and transfer them to camps in Afrin "to facilitate the work of its Russian ally aspiring to control Idlib if agreed between the parties to it."

Khatib appealed to Syria's Democratic Forces (SDF)to work on a rapid intervention mechanism in the event of any emergency there in order to protect civilians and ensure their safety.
