Displaced people in al-Raqqa countryside need assistance

The families from Hama, Homs and Tedmur the provinces, who have been afraid of the Syrian regime, are camping at a farm in the western countryside of al-Raqqa eight months after the liberation of al-Raqqa. more than 1,500 people, mostly women, children and the elderly, live in the camp.

Families have seen little assistance since their arrival in al-Raqqa, especially in conjunction with Eid al-Adha, where they said that diseases spread among them such as leishmaniasis and the whooping cough.

According to parents, most of the cases are caused by malnutrition and contamination of drinking water.

the displaced Ahmed al-Salem said "We have been displaced from our homes because of the Syrian regime's systematic practices and the systematic destruction of our homes to the areas liberated by SDF. We set up tents at a farm near the water and stayed there."

He added "We are going through Eid and we are in difficult circumstances. Our children are demanding clothes and we cannot provide them. There is no food, so we appeal to the organizations to help us in these virtuous days."
