8 Turkish soldiers killed in Colemêrg

HPG's media center today issued a statement to the public in which it revealed the outcomes of the operations carried out by the Guerrilla forces in Colemêrg, Amed, Çelê and Şemzînan villages in Bakur. The forces also noted that 4 of its comrades were martyred in battles with the Turkish occupation.

The statement said:

"In the framework of the revolutionary campaign launched on behalf of the martyrs Pêroz and Agirî, our forces carried out operations against the Turkish occupation army in Colemêrg city.

  After a security road was opened between Bêjin and Mawa villages, belonging to Şemzînan by the Turkish occupation, our forces had warned a person who was working as detective and was guiding the Turkish army the roads leading to the points of our fighters, called "Badr Damir", and with all the warnings the person continues to serve as a detective of the occupation army, accordingly, our forces targeted his car on August 8, and burnt it.

On August 9, at 09:15 hours, our forces carried out an operation at Sunê post in  Rûbarok area of Şemzînan. The operation resulted in the death of a soldier and the injury of 3 other soldiers. After the operation, the Turkish occupation army shelled the area with mortars.

On the same day, at 11:00 am, our forces carried out an operation on Koordîne hill in Çelê area. Our forces directly hit enemy positions, and there were 7 soldiers killed. Then the Turkish army shelled the area with shells, and then a fire broke out in the area.

On the evening of 8 August, the Turkish occupation army carried out a military campaign in Meskan village in Gever district of Colemêrg. On the morning of the second day of August 9, clashes broke out between our units who were carrying out their military duties and the occupation forces. During these clashes our fighter Rashid and Rizgar martyred after they showed heroic resistance and fought until their last bullet.

While the records of the martyrs will be revealed later.

In the framework of the revolutionary campaign of the martyr Delal Amed and the martyrs of Basta, on  August7, at 7:00 am, a Kobra armored vehicle was attacked on the road between Bilisava and Birabeder villages in Payîzava district of Wan, while the death toll of the Turkish occupation was not confirmed.

After the targeting operation, the Turkish occupation forces launched a campaign in the area, which resulted in strong clashes between our forces and the Turkish soldiers who used advanced weapons. In these clashes, our comrade Jamil and Jeker were martyred after a heroic resistance, and their records will be revealed later to the public opinion.
