Amuda witnesses remarkable urban development according to standards

After the stagnation of the construction process within the regions of Rojava and North Syria in general, due to the situation the area had undergone and after the establishment of security and stability in them, large numbers of families displaced to Rojava areas.

Amuda district people in order to avoid densely crowding that has occurred recently has begun the construction of buildings according to the criteria set by the Technical Office in People's Municipality.

Amuda people attribute the construction boom to low prices of building materials as cement, iron, and sand, in comparison to past years causing active movement.

In order to protect the residents, the municipality adopted some procedures before the start of the construction process, such as the technical office in People's Municipality in Amuda district to study the location or the residential complex, and the extent of the nature of the area to carry the construction that will be established. In addition to the need to create a shelter or basement under construction in anticipation of any emergency.

Construction workers in Amuda say the construction process is much better than in the past years, in addition to establishing the buildings on the planned basis. Kamiran Jaziri, a ceramic worker who has been working in the profession for 30 years compared work this year to past years. He said, "Work is good, building prices and materials are suitable, "All my friends who worked with me and migrated abroad have now returned to the district due to availability of jobs."

With regard to the large number of building operations in the district Jaziri explained that the reason is the security and peace achieved by the Democratic Autonomous Administration in the area, and thousands of families from areas that witnessed violent clashes headed toward to Rojava areas including Amuda district.
