SDF: Deir-ez-Zor desert liberated in full, Iraqi-Syria border secured

The three axes of Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) which were fighting IS gangs have been able to reach the points of the fighters who are stationed near the strategic town of Baguz. The entire desert of Deir –ez-Zor and the border between Syria and Iraq are completely cleared from IS.

The second stage of al-Jazeera Tempest campaign launched on June 4, led by the Syrian Democratic Forces to liberate the rest of the countryside of Deir-ez-Zor and al-Hasakah.

In this regard, the commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces Bahoz Hasakah, "After liberating the strategic town of al-Dashisha and the entire border of Syria and Iraq to the entire town of Baguz, we are now in the desert of the countryside of Deir-ez-Zor and is completely liberated from grip IS.

"We have succeeded in eradicating hundreds of IS and have seized their equipment and weapons. The morale and happiness of the fighters in liberating the desert of Deir al-ez-Zor is indescribable, because these the battles led us to eradicate terrorism in the region.

The campaign to liberate the desert of the city of Deir-ez_Zor was launched from three axes, the first axis is adjacent to the Syrian-Iraqi border, the second axis of the center of the desert city of Deir-ez-Zor, the third axis of the liberated al-Sor town.

Syrian Democratic Forces fighters an area spanning 120 km in the desert of the countryside of Deir-ez-Zor.

The citizen (M,A) who did not want to appear in front of the camera because some of his relatives were still besieged in areas occupied by IS said, " After years of injustice and tragedy that we have encountered in the presence of IS we only saw murder, slaughter and bloodshed."

"We saw what is impossible to see. My son was killed in front of my eyes for being an infidel and apostate, he does not apply Islamic law, IS does not support religion and Islam, contrarily, they distort religion." Said M,A bitterly.

The citizen expressed his happiness immediately upon arrival in the liberated areas of the Syrian Democratic Forces SDF. Here everything is different from what we saw there, there was killing and slaughter, and here is peace, love and democracy. We hope the fighters liberate our towns as soon as possible from the darkness that has settled in our towns."

It is noteworthy that the towns of al-Shafa, al-Sos and Hajin are considered the last strongholds and pockets of IS in the countryside of the city of Deir-ez-Zor, that area witnesses displacement of the population towards the areas liberated by the fighters of the Syrian Democratic Forces.
