Women's Council in PYD forms women's ideological, political reference

The Women's Democratic Party (PYD) organized a Women's Council within the party during the first constituent conference of Women's organization of the Democratic Union Party, which was held under the slogan "Free Women Guarantee a Moral and Political Society." And this council is considered as an ideological, political, and high organizational reference for women, the council is of 28 members, and it takes Kongra Star the sectarian community organization which represented it in Rojava and North Syria

The council monitors the development of the organizational, ideological, political and social work of women inside and outside Syria through the training committee formed during the first foundational conference which promotes women's ideological and political development, and promotes awareness of women's rights and issues to combat all forms of violence against women, to promote social justice and to achieve equality between the two genders and consolidate the co-chair system.

The Council will seek to reach out to all women in the Syrian society and communicate with the Kurdish, Syrian and Middle Eastern women's organizations on the basis of unifying women's efforts to build a democratic society through the organizational committee and the diplomatic committee.

The Women's Council had elected general coordinator, the Council is responsible to the coordinators for ensuring the possibility of joint action, organization and oversight, it consists of 5-7 members, during the first meeting of the council, a coordinator spokesman will be elected.

On Sunday, the first founding conference of women's organization in the Democratic Union Party (PYD) had been held under the slogan "Free women are a Guarantee of Moral and Political Society".
