Rojava University Forum to launch on Friday

QAMIŞLO

Under the slogan, "Free and Democratic University’s Forum", the activities of the forum will take place on Friday at Rojava University in Qamişlo city in order to discuss the educational reality and ways to develop it. The forum is scheduled to be attended by administrators, teachers and students of various colleges and departments of the universities of Rojava, Afrin and Kobanî.

'We did not expect such a position from any Kurdish party'

The member of the preparatory committee of the forum Zina Ali expressed her dissatisfaction with the position of the authorities of Kurdistan Region and said, "We hoped that the positions of the Kurds, either in Başûr or in Bakur, would be different from what they are now because this activity concerns the language and the teaching in Kurdish, and concerns the future of the children of the Kurds."

Zina Alli continued, “We did not expect this attitude, but unfortunately, this happened, and they prevented our guests from reaching Rojava."

Although the authorities of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) prevented the arrival of the delegation to Rojava, the members of the delegation will participate via Skype service in the work of the forum.
