Women in Kobanî organizing herself in all domains

Kongra Star in Kobani  will continue its work and activities related to women and is scheduled to be held on  current July 15.

So far, Kongra Star has done a lot of work and is an institution that has taken the struggle for women's freedom and training as a foundation for it. Kongra Star in Kobani seeks to solve the problems of women on the one hand and on the other hand seeks with the communes and councils in the countryside to avoid the negatives and mistakes. A member of Kongra Star coordinator in the Euphrates Region, Falek Yousef, explained that they will hold their conference after one year of work and talked about their work to ANHA agency.

Falek Yusuf pointed out that they began organizing women since 2005 as Star Union and after the Revolution of Rojava in 2016 the name of the union was changed to Kongra Star.

Falak Yusuf said that the style of their struggle changed with the Revolution of Rojava and their organization included women of the component: Arab, Turkmen, Syriac, Armenian and Assyrian.

Falek noted "Our main goal is to train and organize women so that they can prove themselves in society and solve their problems."

In training domain-

Falek pointed out that they are opening new academies for training and concentrating in these academies on mentality. She explained that training topics in academies revolve around the struggle for women's freedom, women's science, women's history and society.

In justice domain-

Falek said , referring to a problem related to women that the problems related to women and the society are many in our society and we solve these problems in different means and ways." When there is a problem related to women the commune solve it and if it unable to resolve it sent to the Women's House and if the House of Women is also unable to find a solution the problem has been transformed as a last measure to the courts for women to be resolved."

-In the economy domain

She spoke about the woman's economy and showed that women strengthen their economy through associations. Falek said that women have opened many projects such as sewing and restaurants, as well as agricultural projects and many other projects. Falek pointed out that the economic aspect is very important in the organization of women and therefore they give importance to economic work.

Member of Kongra Star Falek Youssef said that they will hold the conference once a year, which will be held this year on  July15.

Furthermore Falek concluded "In the conference, we will put the annual plan, change the management of the councils and announce to the public about the work we have done in the region with regard to women, and our preparations for the conference are going on at an accelerated pace."
