1st folkloric exhibition opened for women in Dêrik

The Women's Movement for Culture in the Fertile Crescent in northern Syria organized an exhibition of art, heritage and shopping which is considered the first of its kind in northern Syria.

Kavana Zirîn Band, Shahida Saraya Dancing Band in Butan area and Nûjin Music Band related to Dejla Center for Culture and Art participated in the exhibition.

In the Fertile Crescent exhibition, many folklore, handcrafts and paintings were presented, in addition to presenting many books, popular cuisine, and folkloric dancing.

The presentation began with a speech delivered on behalf of the preparatory committee by the administrator in Kongra Star Gulistan Othman, in which she congratulated the opening of the exhibition and said\, "We congratulate all the organizers of this exhibition for presenting the most beautiful paintings and handicrafts, especially women.

Gulistan Othman noted that women in Rojava Revolution provided the true and beautiful splendor to the revolution through their activities in all domains of political, military, social and cultural.

Kavana Zirîn Band performed a number of Kurdish folkloric songs, and Shahida Saraya Band performed many dances borrowed from the folklore of the Kurdish Botan area.

It is noteworthy that the exhibition will last for 2 days and it would be concluded on Tuesday.
