The two co-chairs of the Democratic People's Party (HDP) Perwîn Bûldan and Sezaî Temellî held a press conference during the meeting of the party’s council. The co-chairs made important assessments of the June 24 elections at the press conference.

Bûldan explained that the elections did not take place in an appropriate and legitimate atmosphere, and that the elections took place under the state of emergency, "In the period of the state of emergency, the pressures put on our party and our candidate for the presidency of the republic Salah al-Din Demirtash were increased. However, HDP won these elections and exceeded the threshold of the elections. Our responsibility in this age is great as the fascist practices are still in present, and our struggle will continue."
