AL-Raqqa's notables reject Turkish threats to Manbij, North Syria

Notables of al-Raqqa city rejected the Turkish Justice and Development Party’s (AKP) threats by the leader of the AKP against Manbij city. They stressed that all the peoples of North Syria should stand united against threats and saboteurs. They said that Erdogan's plans would not succeed and would emerge from the Syrian soil that was defiled by his forces and its mercenaries.

Hawar news agency (ANHA) interviewed with al-Raqqa city's notables talking about threats of the Turkish occupation against Manbij city which was liberated by their children from grip Islamic State's gangs after a lot of sacrifices of their children and thanked Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

Hussein al-Barges, one of notables al-Karama area in al-Raqqa city pointed out that some media outlets associated with external parties are promoting that Syria Democratic Forces (SDF) are Kurdish forces and that these forces include all the peoples of the region.

Al-Berges continued his speech saying "In North Syria there is no difference between a Kurd, Arab, Assyrian and Syriac, we are all one hand in the face of greed or vandalism."

He condemned the remarks made by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his threats to Manbij city and stressed that in North Syria they do not accept these threats from Erdogan, and said that "the whole North Syria stands united in the face of plots that are exposed."

For his part, Daham al-Shibli of notables al-Huss town said that they as children of North Syria stand united in the face of any threat either to Manbij city or other cities in North Syria.”

He told Erdogan "Your plans will not succeed in the north of Syria, and you will leave all the Syrian lands that have been defiled by your forces and gangs."

At the end of his speech, Deham al-Shibli thanked Afrin people to their steadfastness, as well as saluting to Syria Democratic Forces (SDF) on the front lines, especially those who are facing Islamic State's gangs in al-Jazeera Tempest campaign to liberate what remains of the eastern bank of the Euphrates river.
