High prices in al-Darbasiyah, promises to find solution

Residents of al-Darbasiyah district of al-Hasakah canton complain about the high prices of foodstuffs, fruits and vegetables, calling on the Supply Committee to put an end to the problem of rising prices.

Where the price has raised to 100 SP per kilo of each kind of vegetables and fruits, and the price of one kilo of sheep meat exceeded 2400 SP in the district​​, and chicken meat reached 800 SP, which is one of the most important food, which demand increases in Ramadan.

"We call on the Supply Committee to intensify inspection rounds on shops and to set prices for vegetables and fruits, we suffer from difficult economic conditions," the citizen Saeid Mamo said to ANHA agency.

Mansour al-Ahmad has pointed out that the sellers are exploiting the citizens to make money. "Prices have risen, although the supply of the district has set the prices for each kind of vegetables and fruits, but sellers do not adhere to prices."

"We appeal to the residents to go to the municipality's supplying department and to complain about the sellers who sell the items at high prices. There are sellers who resort to fraud and conceal the prices at which they sell their goods during our observation tours," said the administrator of the supply department in the Peoples' municipality in al-Darbasiyah district Hamid Othman.

Othman confirmed that they will solve this problem as soon as possible.
