Women's issues in Syria will be sent to UN-Women

The dialogue forum and workshop ended on the second and final day with presenting several main issues on women and discussing them to be reached to the concerned sides in the United Nations-Women which, in turn, will support and implement the issues in reality.

A dialogue forum and workshop was held on Monday with the support of the United Nations, sponsored by the Syrian Women Council and in cooperation with Kongra Star and the Joint Ground Organization under the slogan, "Syrian Women's Priorities in North and North-East of Syria".

The discussions on the last day focused on the priorities of Syrian women more broadly in the economic field which is still monopolized within the circle of men, in which the participation of women is very low.

Women also proposed to put laws to protect women from violence and oppression, and to work on increasing the employment opportunities for them in all institutions, in addition to developing the capabilities and skills of women in all fields and enhancing the role of women in establishing peace.

All issues on women's problems will be sent in a detailed report to the UN- Women Commission which will discuss the issues and propose future projects and plans to support women at all political, economic, social, legal, protection and security levels.
