KOBANI

Kobani city has received a large number of residents from the cities of Girê Sipî /Tel- Abyed , Ain Issa and Sareen to participate in a demonstration, coinciding with the International Day against the Turkish Invasion of Kurdistan, which occurs on Saturday 26 May.

This day comes after a group of academic personalities , intellectuals, politicians, parties, associations and Kurdish and international civil society institutions singed a petition calling all governments and international organizations (the United Nations, NATO, the European Union and the League of Arab States), as well as the democratic peoples of the world to oppose Turkish aggression, and support the struggle for the freedom of Kurdistan.

In Kobani city, a while ago, a massive demonstration has been launched where thousands of the Euphrates region's people in Kobani and Girê Sipî cantons march, the event was launched from Free Woman Square toward the Martyr Akied Square.

The demonstrators holding banners expressing their rejection of the Turkish occupation and Turkish policy towards the Kurdish people in general, and holding the slogans "Why is this international silence about the killing of children? No to demographic change in Afrin."

In addition to the parents, administrators in Autonomous Administration institutions, Northern Syrian Federation, political parties and civil society organizations are taking part in the demonstration, which has the slogan "No to International Silence Amid Demographic Change in Afrin."

The Arab tribes have a remarkable presence embodied in the personality of a number of tribal sheikhs who are participating in the demonstration.

Several speeches will be delivered after the demonstrators arrive at of the martyr Akeid square, which will be the scene of the end of the demonstration.

It is noteworthy that several cities through the world in addition to Rojavan one will witness demonstrations in support of the International Day against Turkish Invasion of Kurdistan.
