Al-Mansoura meat slaughterhouse continues its normal daily work in overseeing the immolations in terms of legitimacy and health with the increase in the numbers of immolations significantly during Ramadan.

Work began in the slaughterhouse of al-Mansoura town, located 20 km east of al-Tabqa city on 23 October 2017 in the old site south of the town in front of the People's Municipality in al-Mansoura with an expansion work ended mid-November of the same year, the goal of expansion works was to relieve spatial pressure and protect the immolations from dust and rain.

The daily slaughter of 18 to 20 immolations is supervised by a single veterinarian who, together with a single cleaner, is a member of the slaughterhouse staff.

The slaughtering process has been done by the immolation's owners of butchers and owners of meat shops and the task of the veterinarian in overseeing the slaughter and monitoring to prevent the arrival of meat not suitable for human consumption of al-Mansoura market.

"The immolation has been overseen prior to slaughter by examining the mucous membranes to ensure that they are free of communicable diseases. After slaughtering, the oversight process continues to examine the internal organs to ensure that they are safe, and to terminate part or all of them in case being invalid.

The increase in the number of immolations was observed during the holy month of Ramadan, with a rate ranging from 20 to 25 daily immolations, according to the vet of the slaughterhouse Mohammed Saleh al-Thani.

It is worth mentioning that the livestock in al-Mansoura town is estimated at 30 thousand cattle head of sheep and goats only as well as cows.
