HPG: 5 Turkish soldiers killed in Barzan area

The media center of the Popular Defense Forces (HPG) announced the destruction of 3 Turkish Army’s positions and the killing of 5 soldiers in Barzan area in Gever district related to Colemêrg and Silopiy district related to Şirnex in Başûr Kurdistan(South Kurdistan).

The statement said:

"On April 25 at 10:40, our forces carried out an operation against the Turkish occupation army in the vicinity of Khudi Hill in Barzan area in ​​Başûr Kurdistan, and dealt strong strikes to the enemy army’s positions that are positioned on the hill, resulted in the destruction of 3 positions in addition to destroying an A4 weapon, and killing 5 soldiers of the Turkish army in the operation.

On April 25 at 9:40, our forces carried out an operation targeting enemy soldiers stationed on the Martyr Rahima Hill in Gever village which is related to Colemêrg, and that resulted in killing 2 Turkish soldiers.

On April 25 at 8.30, our troops attacked Karearsh Police Station in Silopiy district in Şirnex, and targeted the machineries of transferring the soldiers. According to information, 1 soldier of the Turkish occupation army was killed. After the operation, the enemy forces shelled the area with Obis and mortars.

The media center of the Popular Defense Forces also pointed out that the Turkish military aircrafts bombed on the same day Qandil, Avaşin and Xakurk areas.

The following information about the bombardment was reported, "On April 25, the Turkish military aircrafts bombed the legitimate defense’s areas from 12:00 to 13:00 as the bombardment targeted Zergelê’s surrounding, Bedirxan area and the village of Pibalan in Qandil. At 10:30, the occupation bombarded Adel Beik area in Avaşin, and at 13:00, the shelling targeted Kani Qureij area of Xakurk."
