1st  Sculpture's exhibition opened in al-Raqqa

Under the slogan "Art Against War", al-Raqqa Civil Council, in coordination with the Culture and Art Committee, an art exhibition opened in al-Raqqa, which included 36 sculptures, by sculptor Juma al-Hamo.

The opening ceremony was attended by a delegation of writers and intellectuals from the al-Jazeera region, delegations from the members of the local councils, Martyrs' Families Foundation and the al-Raqqa Civil Council, in addition to dozens of people of al-Raqqa city.
The opening of the exhibition was opened by a member of the Union of Arab Artists and sculptor Juma al-Hamo.

The themes of sculptural art revolve around figures representing the history of women through the presence of a statue of the free women, sculptures representing the goddess of fertility and beauty of women, a sculpture of Baghdad's ancient door, and a sculptural art showing the destruction of the city in IS mercenaries' age.

In conclusion, Juma al-Hamo appealed to all the artists and poets who left their city to return to it and restore their culture that was taken away.
