The Democratic Society Movement held a meeting for al-Shihba and Afrin's people to explain the current situation in the region, especially the situation in Afrin. The meeting was held in the yard of Ahrz district in al-Shihba canton, attended by dozens of residents.

He noted "the traitors who cooperate with the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries will be held accountable for their betrayal. "

The head of the Public Relations Office of the Democratic Council of Syria, Ghareeb Hassou, said, "We congratulate the Red Wednesday holiday of the Yazidis and other peoples, the genocide campaigns carried out by Turkey and its mercenaries against the Yazidis were meant to annihilate the entire Kurdish people, not just the Yazidi community.

He concluded "The plan put forward by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries to implement the demographic change in Afrin canton will fail by the people of Afrin holding their land, and the victory will inevitably be for the owners of the land."
