Security team was shut in Douma

Sources quoted from the Director-General of Chemical Weapons Prohibition Organization Ahmed Ozumjo that the United Nations’ security team was shot in the Syrian city of Douma, and it was forced to withdraw and delay the arrival of chemical weapons inspectors to the place.

Sources of the closed meeting of Weapons' Prohibition Organization in The Hague told Reuters that Ahmed Ozumjo said that the security team was forced to withdraw delaying the arrival of chemical weapons inspectors to the place which was scheduled to be on Wednesday.

The Chemical Weapons inspectors’ mission was supposed to arrive at Douma a few days ago for collecting samples if there would be attacks used with the alleged chemical weapons in Douma on April 7 so that the United States, France and Britain launched military strikes on the regime's sites on April 14.

The mission is not authorized to investigate who is behind the attack.

The regime forces always rejects the accusations directed against it of using chemical weapons in the conflict which has been ongoing in the country since 2011, and Moscow, the main supporter of the Syrian regime, has rejected the accusations.
