Afrin Yazidi confirms resistance continuation with song composed on Red Wednesday

After Turkish aggression on Afrin canton and the beginning of the policy of denial  of the Kurdish people in general and Yazidi in particular and the destruction of Yezidi places of worship, and forcing those who remain in Afrin to convert to Islam and the deprivation of hundreds of Yezidi in Afrin from celebrating their holy day as before.

The citizen Abdul Rahman Shaker from Fakira village of Janders district left his village as a result of the Turkish aggression on their village and enforced to go out to preserve his family and religion.

Today, Abdul Rahman Shaker lives in Berxwedan camp in Fafin district of al-Shahba canton, during the tour of ANHA correspondents, they met Abdul Rahman singing with a loud voice on Red Wednesday.

During the meeting, Abdul Rahman said that this song was written by him and said: "Despite the difficult circumstances, I will celebrate in my tent today, we celebrated in Afrin all the places of worship we adorned with roses and burning candles and people are gathering with each other, Turkish aggression forced us to leave our village, I wrote this song and sang it today to see the world that we continue to resist in all its forms and revive Red Wednesday.

The citizen Abdul Rahman ended by stressing the continuation of resistance and that they will not forget the martyrs' blood and will not forget the brutality of Turkish occupation and its mercenaries on Afrin and history will testify to it.

The song is about the glorification of Red Wednesday on Yazidi community, and its connection to Aryan race, which stretches thousands of years, distinguishing the day with Kurdish colors and symbols, and insistence on survival, self-defense, religion and identity.
