Since the agricultural crops have matured, the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries have been trying to burn them along the frontlines in North and East Syria.

In the countryside of Manbij canton, large areas of agricultural land and olive trees burned over the course of two days, due to fires set by mercenaries that spread towards the villages.

On Saturday, the mercenaries set fires near the Turkish occupation base in the village of Sheikh Nasser and headed towards the villages of Qart Wiran Kabir, Qart Wiran Saghir and al-Yalani, and fire brigades and villagers are trying to extinguish the fires that have reached the homes.

According to the preliminary statistics obtained by ANHA's agency, the fire destroyed agricultural crops in 500 hectares of land distributed among the three villages and included 6,000 olive trees in the villages of Qart Wiran, Kabir and Saghir, and 2,000 olive trees in the village of Yalani, and the fires are still burning at the moment of preparing the news.

The occupation army and its mercenaries had set fires earlier from the occupied village of al-Kreidiyeh towards the villages of Jablet al-Hamra, al-Houta, Jeb Makhzum, and Mil Wiran. According to the villagers, the area of burned land amounted to 1,000 hectares, distributed over 80 hectares in Jablet al-Hamra, where 3,500 olive trees were planted, and 120 hectares in the village of Houta, containing 3,000 olive trees. And 800 hectares in the villages of Jeb Makhzum and Mil Wiran, including 1,600 olive trees in Jeb Makhzum and 2,300 in the village of Mil Wiran.

The preliminary statistics obtained by ANAH's agency amounted to the burning of 1,500 hectares planted with winter crops (wheat and barley) and 18,400 olive trees.
