Amidst the security chaos in most Syrian cities, the first days of February witnessed a series of horrific murders that claimed the lives of 10 people, bringing the number of people killed as a result of criminal crimes and murder against unknown persons since the beginning of 2025 in the country to 50 people.

Crimes are escalating in various regions of Syria, as the first days of February witnessed a series of murders that claimed the lives of 10 people, including 3 women, amid unprecedented security chaos, according to a report by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

The crimes were distributed, according to the SOHR, across several Syrian cities, and their causes varied between tribal revenge, mysterious assassinations, and crimes recorded against unknown persons.

They were distributed in Idlib, Deir-ez-Zor, Daraa, Aleppo, Latakia, Homs, and Tartous.

Thus, the number of those killed as a result of criminal crimes and murder against unknown persons, since the beginning of 2025 in Syrian cities has reached 50 people, including: 38 men, 9 women, and 3 children.
