2 bombs thrown, 17 civilians wounded in al-Raqqa

Two anonymous mercenaries threw two noise bombs at a condolence tent of one of the dead in al-Raqqa city, and that resulted in wounding dozens of the citizens among them serious cases.

 AL-RAQQA- Al-Raqqa city witnessed on Sunday a terrorist accident as two mercenaries threw two sonic booms at a condolence tent opened in Bab Baghdad neighborhood that resulted in wounding 17 civilians.

According to Hawar news agency’s reporter, some of the wounded were taken to the center of Doctors without Borders Organization to receive the medical treatment while the serious cases were taken to Girê Sipî Hospital.

Our reporter pointed out that the two mercenaries were riding a motorbike and that they said, “Allah Akbar (God is great)” before throwing the two bombs noting that they fled soon after throwing the two bombs.

The official in the Internal Security Forces Ahmed Abdul Salam pointed out, “We heard an explosion noise at around 10 pm, and we quickly headed towards the scene of the accident at the condolence tent. We took the wounded to the medical points and Girê Sipî Hospital.”

Abdul Salam noted that they continue investigating about the circumstances of the incident and prosecuting the perpetrators.
