In an interview with ANHA Agency, the official of social affairs in the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan in Zakho, Mullah Nazir Barwari, spoke about the dangers, plans and attacks on the regions of Southern Kurdistan and Iraq.
71 Turkish bases in S. Kurdistan
Barwari explained that the agreements concluded by the Kurdistan Democratic Party with the Turkish state since 1992 resulted in the establishment of many Turkish military bases in the regions of Southern Kurdistan.
"The Turkish state has 71 bases so far on the borders of Erbil and Dohuk, in addition to the centers of the Turkish Intelligence Services ( MIT)in various cities" he said.
Barwari pointed out that the Turkish state aims to occupy Southern Kurdistan.
" Turkey's goal is to deprive the Kurdish people of their rights. There is an agreement between Iraq and Turkey that stipulates that Iraq must remain silent regarding the attacks of the Turkish state."
Barwari commented on the recruitment of ISIS mercenaries and other mercenary groups to Southern Kurdistan. "Turkey knows that the time has come to withdraw from Syria, as Syria has stipulated this. The one who destroyed Syria and supported the mercenaries and ISIS is Erdogan and his government, and now Turkey is seeking to recruit these mercenaries to Southern Kurdistan to extinguish the Kurdish flame in Southern Kurdistan."
They sent 400-500 mercenaries to carry out special missions
Barwari revealed that the Turkish state recently brought about 400-500 mercenaries from ISIS mercenaries or the so-called Al-Nusra Front and Sultan Murad to Southern Kurdistan, and they are now present with the Turkish soldiers:" The officers and leaders are Turkish, but the others are all mercenaries and wear the Turkish army uniform. They brought about 400-500 mercenaries to carry out special missions such as killing and kidnapping. They commit the worst practices in the name of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party, as they wear the guerrilla uniform and seek to deceive people. For example, they placed barriers in the name of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party between the Turkish base and the Peshmerga bases in the Barwari area, which are only 300 meters apart, and confiscated citizens’ IDs in broad daylight,everyone knows that these are not from the Kurdistan Workers’ Party. The Turkish soldiers also filmed a video clip in one of the houses of the village Miska Syriac of Barwari; They claim that they have seized weapons for the PKK, but the whole world knows that the PKK does not enter the villages, and unfortunately, 162 villages have been evacuated so far in the Barwari region on the border of Amadiya.
The goal is to eliminate the PKK and the PUK
Barwari refuted the KDP's allegations that "there are PKK elements in the PUK base.
"Everyone knows that this is not true, and the goal of these allegations is to allow the Turkish state to control Sulaymaniyah, and the goal of this operation is the PKK and the PUK, the goal is to eliminate the PUK so that the KDP can control and impose its authority over all of Southern Kurdistan" he added
Danger and end of Erdogan
"Iraq's silence regarding these attacks indicates the existence of agreements between it and Turkey." With these words, Barwari referred to the position of the Iraqi government and highlighted the dangers facing Iraq, saying: "If Iraq continues to remain silent in this manner and the Turkish state achieves its intentions and goals, Iraq will no longer exist. If Iraq loses the provinces of Mosul and Kirkuk, it will only have the provinces of Basra and Baghdad. I expect that what happened to Saddam will happen to them."
344 citizens martyred in 33 years
Barwari made the point clear “Since 1991 until now, 344 citizens have been martyred and 357 others have been injured, and this is a great danger, and unfortunately the authority of Erbil and Bahdinan, especially the Kurdistan Democratic Party, are paving the way for Turkey, so let everyone be confident that Turkey did not enter Southern Kurdistan by force, because if the Kurdistan Democratic Party had not allowed it to do so, it would not have been manage to advance a single step towards Southern Kurdistan.”
Mullah Nazir Barwari called on all political parties and forces to unite and not rely on one party.
"If we do not unite, we will face a real threat and a great danger, and perhaps we as Kurds will no longer have any existence. We still have the opportunity now to build unity and we should exploit it."
