Women's Body slams recent Turkish attack on Afrin, Shahba
The Women's Body condemned the attacks of the Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries on Afrin and Shahba canton which caused the martyrdom of a child and the injury of 3 others.
On Saturday, the bombing of the Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries on the villages of Afrin and Shahba canton in NE Syria, caused wounding 4 children, and today one of them was martyred.
The Women's BODY in the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria condemned the attacks and crimes of the Turkish occupation against the people and residents of the region.
The Body said through a statement, which it delivered today in front of its center in the city of Raqqa, in the presence of members of the women’s movements, and which was read by the Vice President of the Women’s Authority, Sawsan Al-Khalaf, “For more than five years, the Turkish occupation has been carrying out all violations in full view of all the human rights and humanitarian institutions in Afrin and all occupied territories."
She stressed that the Turkish bombing yesterday, on Afrin and Shahba canton in NE Syria, causing the martyrdom of a child and wounding 3 others, is a blatant violation of the right to humanity.
She recalled the massacres and crimes of the Turkish occupation against the people in the occupied areas, such as the Jandarisa massacre, which was committed by the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation on the eve of Newroz 2023.
The Women’s Body called on all humanitarian, human rights and international institutions to carry out their duties and responsibilities regarding what is happening in Afrin and the occupied regions, and to bring the perpetrators and criminals to justice and hold them accountable
Sawsan Al-Khalaf added: “We call on all Syrian national forces to cooperate with Autonomous Administration because of its pioneering role in developing a lasting democratic solution for Syria.”
