Women's Body condemns massacre in Masrab village

Yesterday evening (Saturday), the Turkish occupation bombed the village of Masrab, affiliated with the city of Sarrin, in the region of North and East Syria, with warplanes, which resulted in a massacre against an entire family, killing a father and his two daughters (12 and 13 years old) and wounding 5 other children and their mother.

Accordingly, the Women's Body in the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria strongly condemned the massacre in the village of Masrab, and stressed that the Turkish occupation's targeting of children and women reflects the true and brutal face of the occupation's approach.

This came in a statement made by the Women's Body in front of the Martyr Sara Kindergarten in the city of Raqqa, with the participation of members of the Social Affairs and Laborers Commission and representatives of political parties, in addition to the presence of a group of kindergarten children who carried banners with the phrases "I have the right to live" and "We only want security".

The text of the statement, which was delivered by the Vice head of the Women's Council in North and East Syria, Sawsan al-Khalaf, mentioned the Turkish occupation's continued attacks on areas of North and East Syria and targeting civilians, especially children and women, considering that the Turkish occupation's resort to methods of killing, destruction and displacement is evidence of the extent of its weakness in the face of the will of the peoples steadfast in its face.

In a clear criticism of the failure of international organizations to make any efforts to carry out their responsibilities and stop the massacres of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries against the people of North and East Syria, the statement stated that all these massacres took place amid complete international and human rights silence, and called on them to break this silence and carry out their duties in stopping the attacks and holding Turkey accountable.
