"We are resisting on Tishreen Dam and the Qarqozaq Bridge with spirit of Nowruz”

Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and Women's Protection Units (YPJ) fighters who congratulated Leader Abdullah Ocalan on Newroz this year and welcomed Newroz in the spirit of March 8 spoke to ANHA agency.

Women's Protection Units (YPJ) fighter Helbest Kobani congratulated the leader and the martyrs on the occasion of Newroz, stating that this year will be the year of physical freedom for the leader and for all peoples. She said, "This year's Newroz will be the Newroz of resistance and will be celebrated with enthusiasm."

Helbest Kobani said, "I congratulate our comrades resisting on the front lines at Qarqozaq Bridge and Tishreen Dam, and I emphasize that this year's Newroz will be the Newroz of the leader's physical freedom."

Helbest Kobani explained, "We believe that this year we will celebrate Newroz with Leader Abdullah Ocalan, and that it will be the Newroz of all oppressed peoples."

"We will welcome Newroz with the spirit of March 8."

Women's Defense Units (YPJ) fighter Simav Derik congratulated all the people and the leader on the occasion of Newroz, saying, "We, the YPJ fighters, are taking our place in the resistance. We welcomed the message that Leader Abdullah Ocalan sent to all women on March 8 with great enthusiasm."

Simav Derik noted, "We welcome Newroz with the enthusiasm and dignity of March 8, and with the strength we gained from the Leader's message and the new directives he gave us, women, on March 8."

Syrian Democratic Forces fighter Kargar Raqqa congratulated all the martyrs of the revolution and the leader on the occasion of Newroz, saying, "Newroz has been celebrated with the slogan 'Resistance is Life' since history began with the weeping of Kawa al-Haddad and was reinforced by the spirit of Mazloum. We will strengthen our resistance with this saying of the martyr Mazloum: Resistance is Life."

Kargar Raqqa stated that the ongoing resistance at the Tishrin Dam and the Qarqozaq Bridge is led by female fighters, saying, "We fight and resist to liberate our people and our country from oppression."

Kargar Raqqa noted, "After receiving the leader's message, we learned how to celebrate these days in the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Women's Protection Units. March 8 and Newroz are also days of resistance and struggle."

Kargar Raqqa concluded his remarks by saying, "We congratulate Leader Abdullah Ocalan, who unites all peoples with the philosophy of the democratic nation, and the Arab and Kurdish peoples and all other peoples on this occasion, hoping it will be a day of victory."

Fighter Nidal Agid explained that Newroz is the hope of oppressed peoples, and hoped that this year would be the year of achieving physical freedom for Leader Abdullah Ocalan. He said, "The strength we have drawn from the Leader will be our greatest hope, and Newroz will represent physical freedom for the Leader and for all oppressed peoples."
